Cavaliers and Lady Cavs dominate in the Region 3 Championship as they run their way to Region Champions.
Lady Cavs were led by Landri Wilcox with a time of 18:45, for first place. While teammates Annie Kate McDermott 20:50 placed 3rd overall and Emily Coonce finished 6th with a 23:05, Maddie Long 14th and Elizabeth McReynolds 15th giving CHS a total of 37.
White County Warriorettes had 2 top ten finishers Evan Welch 2nd place 20:09 and Katie Anderson 9th 23:05.
In boys action ,Keith Wiley finished 7th with a time of 18:18 to led the Cavaliers. Jacob Sparks 8th 18:22, Austin McGowan 11th 18:33, Justin Rusche 16th 19:08 and Ethan Kopinski 19th 19:13 combined scores gave the Cavs the sweep and both teams heading to state.
LA runner, Parker Linder finished 4th overall with an 18:09. Local schools fielding teams and individual athletes participating were Stone Memorial, LA, CHS, DCHS, CCHS and White County .
