Highlights from CHS Play Day
Hall of Fame Games
Teams from East and Middle Tennessee converge on CHS and PSMS gyms to participate in Cookeville High School’s version of a play day combined with Hall of Fame games.
In girls action, Riverdale Warriorettes knocked off the Lady Cavs from CHS in a wild high scoring affair 75 – 71. Liv Shipman and Chloe Maynard hit the nets for 15 points each , while Emma Webb and Jordan Gilles tipped in 11 each. Then earned the split with a 72 – 33 win over the Lady Jets from CCHS. Katie Dunaway led the Lady Cavs with 18 points, while Emma Webb stayed hot with 15 and KK Graves had 11 big one.
Stone Memorial ran their record to 3 – 0 on the young season with a 50 – 41 win over ever strong Goodpasture and a 61 – 43 win over Riverdale. Goodpasture downed the Lady Jets from CCHS 71 – 41.
On the boys side, SMHS Panthers picked up two big wins tripping up East Hamilton by thirteen 58 – 45 and in a nail biter upped the Coyotes from West Creek 45 – 43. Cavaliers gave new Head Coach, Josh Heard, his first 2 wins in his young career downing West Creek and Cumberland County.
