COOKEVILLE, TN- Sheriff Eddie Farris, on behalf of the men and women of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, presented an award for exemplary service and dedication to the Citizen’s Strategic Advisory Council (CSAC) for their continued service to the Sheriff’s Office and to Putnam County. Mr. Sonny Conner, Moderator/Chairman for the organization, accepted the award on CSAC’s behalf.

“This group has been instrumental in the assessment of services offered by the Sheriff’s Office. They have facilitated anonymous satisfaction surveys and interviews as well as organized the county-wide Autism Aware+Prepare training conference, the first of its kind in Tennessee. We are very lucky to have these fine individuals as part of our team,” said Sheriff Eddie Farris.

The Citizen’s Strategic Advisory Council (CSAC) is a separate non-partisan 501(c) 3 organization that aids in fundraising to support PCSO programs. The Council is made up of seven voluntary uncompensated Putnam county citizens who bring approximately 200 years of proven successful experience in commercial and/or higher educational venues in areas such as strategic planning, human resources, employee development, public relations/image enhancement, organizational efficiencies and development and finances. The group provides advice, counsel and observations regarding non-law enforcement matters to Sheriff Farris, and the members are bound by a confidentiality agreement.
