Here is what the person who nominated Wes had to say: All county and all conference defensive player in football. Starter on the varsity basketball team as a 7th grader. Starter for the baseball team as well. He is an all A student, always on time to class, always has his work, and always helping other students who need it. He has yet to face a challenge he has not conquered. When faced with adversity he just works harder. First day of football practice in pads last spring, he breaks his finger. Out for 6 weeks and obviously disappointed. It was his first time ever playing football. He healed over the summer and came out determined in the fall to not only be a starter but be a game changer. By the end of the season, teams were game planning their run games to the opposite side of the field. Anytime he makes a play or tackle, he helps the other player up. Always encourages his team mates even if they mess up. Always a yessir nosir response and works harder when given corrective criticism. Very active within his church and church youth group and the projects and community outreach thru them. He is the hardest worker in the room.
