The Cookeville Cavaliers fought, but ultimately fell short as they were defeated by the Oakland Patriots 42-7 Friday night in Murfreesboro.
Oakland (5-0, 2-0) is the number one ranked 6A team in the state, and they outgained the Cavs (3-2, 0-2) 436 yards to 163 as they rolled to their fifth straight win to open the 2020 football season.

Evan Whited: 2 carries, 10 yards

The Cavs will look to get their first Region 3/6A win Friday night when they take on Coffee County. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. in Cookeville.
