Cookeville’s Mistletoe Market Returns to Leslie Town Centre November 6 & 7

COOKEVILLE, TN – The 17 th  Annual Mistletoe Market will usher in the holiday season with many area boutiques creating a festive shopping experience at the Leslie Town Centre. The two-day event will be held at One West First Street on Friday, November 6 th from 9:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M. and Saturday, November 7 th  from 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. in Cookeville’s Historic WestSide.

The event will follow Putnam County Health Department recommendations throughout the event and all merchants are required to wear face masks.

Safety tips for shoppers:

· If you have COVID-19, or you could have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, you should not attend Mistletoe Market.

· Please only attend with those in your immediate household.

· Masks will be required and 6-foot social distancing is requested.

· Maximum occupancy guidelines to allow for 6’ social distancing will be in place.

· Café offerings will be prepackaged to travel home with shoppers.

Attendees will peruse goods and gifts from area boutiques throughout the spacious aisles in the Estes Williams room located on the main floor of the Leslie Town Centre. Additionally, a silent auction benefitting the Cookeville-Putnam County Animal Shelter will be on the main floor.

“We are thrilled to have our silent auction at Mistletoe each year,” says Linda Westin, President of Friends of CPC Animals. “This is an exciting year as we continue to raise funds to help feed and promote animals for adoption at the Cookeville/Putnam County Animal Shelter. We hope all shoppers will stop by the silent auction to learn more about the Animal Shelter and volunteering opportunities – and bid on some wonderful items to help our shelter animals.”

Mistletoe Market is an annual retail shopping tradition offering bargains and door prizes from area boutiques. “We are thankful for the many opportunities to assist customers with their banquets, meetings and fundraisers throughout the year. We love events so much that we stage our own every November, Mistletoe Market! The proceeds from this event helps patron nonprofit organizations through our charitable-giving program called Together We Care,” said Debi Smith, event director of Leslie Town Centre. “Since 2009, quarterly awards and discounts have benefited many nonprofit organizations through the proceeds of Mistletoe Market.”

Co-owned by the City of Cookeville and Putnam County, Leslie Town Centre is supported solely by the revenues from its two venue spaces. The Estes Williams Center is 7,200 square feet and the Herald–Citizen Room, located on the upper level, is 1,500 square feet. The building houses the offices of the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development & Communications and Convention & Visitors Bureau. The Public Building Authority governs Leslie Town Centre for the benefit of the community.
