Byrdstown-Pickett County Update March 5

Happy Friday!

Veterans Memorial names may be added before March 25, 2021 – DO NOT MISS THIS DEADLINE! They are also looking for new honorably discharged members. Please call Commander Don Scott at (931) 403-3570. Spring is in the air and I for one hope it stays that way and calmly as well. Things are beginning to get back more towards normal. Live music is back at more venues and Annual Meetings are being scheduled. The Friends of Cordell Hull will be having theirs on March 10th at 5:30PM at The Bobcat Den Restaurant. New Members are always welcome to join. This would be a great time to do so.

Next Saturday on March 13, Donna Winningham and Sue Lado will be at the Farmers Market with their wares from 9-5. Followed by the resumption of Daylight Savings Time on Sunday, March 14 at 2AM. April 9th, East Port Marina & Resort and The Farm @ East Port Marina will be hosting a “Paddle and Fin Podcast” Tournament.

Coming up this weekend: The Dixie Cafe will have live music on Friday and Saturday evenings this weekend and Clearview will be there on March 12. Blazin Pheonix will be live at The Backyard Grill Saturday evening. Bald Rock Package, LLC will have live music on Saturday night this week and next. Be sure to check out the many other wonderful places to grab a bite to eat in the area – most, if not all have carry out and curbside services available for those that wish those options. Some have weekend specials! You can find our members here: www.dalehollow.com/dine. Cordell Hull Birthplace State Park has a variety of workshops coming up. Space is limited for their workshops and you need to register for the one(s) you are planning to attend! Click on over and check them out and sign up.
