Leisure Services Youth Volleyball Clinic April 10

Youth Volleyball Clinic set for April 10

COOKEVILLE – Cookeville Leisure Services is serving up youth volleyball.

A clinic for ages 8-15 will take place April 10 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Cane Creek Gymnasium. Registration is $25.

“The purpose is to get hands-on experience,” Lori Medlin, Leisure Services athletic coordinator, said. “If your child is interested in volleyball and wants to try out for their school team, this is a great way to get a start on learning the skills.”

Daniel 1 Academy volleyball coach Petreva Hobbs will be leading the clinic with assistance from D1 Academy and Tennessee Tech University volleyball players.

“We have a great group of people who love the sport of volleyball and want to share their skills and knowledge,” Medlin said.

Participants should register by April 2.

“Our hope is to give a good first experience to children who want to learn and be competitive for available spots on school teams,” Medlin said.
