COOKEVILLE, T.N. — Two Cane Creek Elementary School students were rewarded with the Good Character Citation by Student Resource Officer Pettit.
Gage Sells, a 4th grade student at Cane Creek Elementary School, was recently spotted by Officer Pettit displaying evidence of good character. Gage, without being asked by teachers, picked up trash around the playground while his classmates played. Officer Pettit issued Gage a Good Character Citation for showing pride in his school. With the citation, Gage received coupons for free McDonalds French fries and a free taco from Blue Coast Burrito. The rewards were provided by Power of Putnam.

Max Hall, a 2nd grade student at Cane Creek Elementary School, was recognized by Officer Pettit for speaking up when he suspected a potentially dangerous situation might develop. Max reported to his teacher something that he overheard from a student at another school. The incident had already been resolved by that school administration and their SRO. Max was concerned about the safety of others and did exactly what he should, he told a trusted adult. Officer Pettit issued Max a Good Character citation along with coupons for free McDonalds French fries and tacos from Blue Coast Burrito, provided by Power of Putnam.
