Welcome to the Weekend!!
It’s the weekend once again! It’s also Sales Tax Holiday Week/Weekend. Check out the state website for details regarding the Sales Tax Holiday. Things are a little different this year. Reviewing the website information will help you make the most of the occasion. Food is also exempt for specific times. So, enjoy a little extra kitchen help and stock the pantry. Schools are starting back soon – locally next week. Watch for children and STOP for them AND the buses they are riding. It’s also time for the 127 Corridor Sale next week (August 5-7, 2021). Get out and find a great bargain and have a good time (and safe).
The Farmers Market is open for the season. We have had farmers the last couple of weeks. Usually, they are here on Wednesday, Friday and if they have any produce left for sale – on Saturday. Jessie Gilbert will be here this Saturday morning with a nice selection of fresh produce. Ya’ll come! The Fall Dale Hollow Bass Classic will be October 2 & 3, 2021. We opened up registration this morning and we have had a wonderful turn out. If you didn’t get a form, you can download the form here. We will be open tomorrow from 8AM-2PM if you would like to come by and register. We had 19 entries today so far.
COMING UP THIS WEEKEND AND SOON: Obey River Grill/East Port Marina will have trivia tonight (Friday and every Friday night this season). Live Music Friday and Saturday evenings at Dixie Cafe (only FRIDAY this week), The Steel Coop, and Sulphur Creek Resort/Mike’s Landing Restaurant and Lounge! Backyard Grill is having live music the next 2 Saturday nights. Plenty of other great food out there! You can find our member places to dine at this link:www.dalehollow.com/dine.
