The Upperman Bees took down Macon County 55-51 on Tuesday night.
It was the UHS defense that took control of the game early, as the Bees took a 14-4 lead into the second quarter. Macon responded with a 13-5 run in the second to trim the deficit down to 19-17 at the break.
The two teams battled back-and-forth in the second half, but it was Upperman who outscored Macon by the slim margin of 36-34 to claim the victory.
Rex Davis led the way for the Bees with 29 points.
Upperman will hit the court again on Friday when they travel to Crossville to take on Stone Memorial.
