Cookeville Chamber names Karlyn Reel as Director of Membership; Natalie Saxon as Coordinator of Membership & Events

COOKEVILLE, TN – An internal promotion has led Karlyn Brown Reel into the Director of
Membership position at the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce.

A native of Cookeville, Reel joined the Chamber as Coordinator of Membership & Events in
September of 2021 after working as the Director of Communications and Events for the
Knoxville YWCA for over six years. After her short tenure as Coordinator of Membership &
Events, Reel was promoted to Director of Membership in January of 2022.

Reel received her bachelor’s degree in Communications and Public Relations from the
University of Tennessee in 2015 and lives in Cookeville with her husband, Jake.
Reel commented on her new endeavor, “Being presented with this opportunity is an absolute
honor, and I can ensure that our team will continue to provide lasting connections and
resources to our business community.”

In her new role, Reel is tasked with overall experience, growth and retention of chamber
membership. Her responsibilities include member engagement and recruitment, management
of ambassador team, cultivating partnerships with area businesses and production of
networking events for members.

Also new to the membership team is Natalie Saxon, a native of Hendersonville. She received
her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Tennessee Tech University in 2020.
Saxon joins the chamber with a background in event coordination, social media management
and customer service.

Reel and Saxon joins an impressive team at the Chamber, an organization that additionally
houses both the Highlands Economic Partnership and the Cookeville-Putnam County Visitors’
Bureau, under the leadership of Chamber President Amy New.

her new team members, “she is thoughtful, committed and passionate about our mission and
both her and Natalie will be an amazing duo working tirelessly for our members.”
