Cookeville, TN – It is with deep sorrow and profound regret that the Cookeville Police Department confirms the death of retired Captain Bobby Anderson following a motor vehicle crash this date.
At approximately 9:16 AM on May 13, 2022, officers of the Cookeville Police Department responded to the area of Buffalo Valley Road near Eagles Landing Drive in reference to a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and a truck. Upon realizing that Captain Anderson was involved, the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) was asked to respond to conduct the investigation.
While this incident remains under investigation by THP, our heartfelt condolences go out to the family, friends, coworkers, and all others affected by this tragic event.
