The Livingston Academy Lady Wildcats will get to host their substate match on Saturday, as they shut out Anderson County 4-0 in the Region 3AA Championship on Thursday.
Taryn Childers got the scoring going early in the first half, as her goal at the 7:29 mark of the contest gave the Lady Wildcats a 1-0 lead.
Goalkeeper Emma Dulworth kept the score right there late in the first half, as she stopped an Anderson County penalty kick right before the break.

Childers notched her second goal at the 51:39 mark of the game, as she handled a rebounded shot from Tara Hinds and fired it into the back of the net to double the lead.
About five minutes later, she achieved her second hat trick of the region tournament with another laser past the keeper for a 3-0 Lady Wildcat lead.
Ella Copeland added a penalty kick of her own to ice the contest, as Livingston Academy earned a home substate match with a 4-0 win over Anderson County.

On Tuesday, coach Heather Marshall said her defense would need to be ready for a tough game against the Lady Mavs. As the scoreboard indicated, they delivered and then some.
“We communicated well about their presence,” Marshall said. “We knew we would have to do that…they’re generally faster than us, so I’m glad we were able to do that successfully today.”
Childers’ second hat trick is as many games is just a microcosm of the season she’s put together, and Marshall raved about her effort-level despite everything Anderson threw at her.
“She’s just a completely different player when she’s on the field,” Marshall said. “She really has a great competitive spirit…they double-manned her at some points and she still came away with a hat trick. This team came together as a unit, that’s how we came out with this victory.”
Dulworth held a fast offensive team to no goals, something that Marshall hopes continues with the season on the line on Saturday.
“She’s had two major saves on penalty kicks these last two games,” Marshall said. “For her to get those stops and the shutout tonight, she’s been just incredible these last two games and I hope that continues on Saturday.”
Livingston Academy will host Signal Mountain on Saturday, and the start time is TBD.
