Region tournament basketball is officially underway as 13 Upper Cumberland girls teams competed in last night’s region quarterfinal round. Results and semifinal matchups are as follows:
Region 4-1A
Clay County defeated Merrill Hyde, 64-35
Red Boiling Springs defeated East Robertson, 51-42
Pickett County defeated Jo Byrns, 87-48
Clarkrange defeated Trousdale County, 57-36
