The Upper Cumberland Reporter is proud to announce the addition of Jacob Vinson to Team UCR as livestream director.

Vinson, a graduate of Indiana University, is one of the most talented play-by-play commentators in Tennessee. He has spent the previous 16 months broadcasting games in the Upper Cumberland. Previously, he was a broadcaster in both Missouri and Indiana where he was a part of the Big Ten Network.

“Jacob is one of the most talented play-by-play commentators I’ve come across,” said UCR Co-Owner Noah McKay. “More importantly, he’s a great person who shares our vision of wanting to put a spotlight on the student athletes in the Upper Cumberland. We are thrilled to have him join us.”

“I’m extremely excited to be joining the Upper Cumberland’s leader in high school sports coverage,” said Vinson. “My goal is to help expand UCR’s reach and ability to better cover the best prep athletes in the state. There’s no question UCR has some of the best writers and sports photographers in the area. I only hope I can add to it with my broadcasting.”

Vinson will be helping to lead UCR’s rapidly growing livestream department. He will also be a feature part of UCR’s weekly lineup of shows, podcasts and more. You’ll be able to hear him call games on the Frontier Chevrolet UCR Media Network beginning immediately.

“This is another step towards achieving complete, comprehensive coverage,” said McKay. “Jacob will allow us to stream more games, and with a higher-quality product.”
