The Cumberland County Jet soccer team picked up their third straight victory Thursday evening as they defeated White County via mercy rule, 9-0.
Thursday’s win is a stark contrast from their March 21 victory in Sparta as the Jets needed overtime to defeat the Warriors, 3-2.
Gabriel Alva led the Jets Thursday with 3 goals and an assist. Also scoring goals for Cumberland County were Dominic Olsen, Jonathan Tellez, Miguel Lopez, Niki Azzani and Randy Donis with 2.
Dylan Navarro and Akram Amara each recorded an assist also.
The Jets are currently 3-0 in District 6-2A play and host non-district foe Rhea County on Friday at 6 p.m. weather permitting.
