With the kickoff of the high school football season on the Upper Cumberland set for Thursday, Aug. 17, area teams are competing in their final scrimmages of the preseason on Thursday and Friday night. Upper Cumberland scrimmages and jamborees are as follows:

Gordonsville vs. Westmoreland (Smith County Jamboree, 6 p.m.)
DeKalb County vs. Clay County (Smith County Jamboree, 7 p.m.)
Watertown at Smith County (8 p.m.)
