The quarterfinal round of the 2023 TSSAA football playoffs kicks off Friday evening as 5 area teams won their second-round matchup including Upperman, Macon County, York Institute, Smith County and Gordonsville.
All quarterfinal games are scheduled for 7 p.m. local time unless otherwise noted. Playoff tickets are $8 through GoFan or $10 at the gate.
Local quarterfinal matchups are as follows:
Class 1A
Gordonsville (8-4) at South Pittsburg (12-0)
Class 2A
York Institute (12-0) at Hampton (10-2)
East Robertson (11-1) at Smith County (9-2)
Class 4A
Macon County (11-1) at Upperman (12-0)
