Reese Beaty Commits To Iowa State

By Noah McKay
York Institute point guard Reese Beaty verbally committed to Iowa State on Tuesday.

The back-to-back Upper Cumberland Player of the Year announced on X her intention to play for the Cyclones following her senior high school season.

Beaty has led the Dragonettes to three straight state tournaments, including a trip to one state championship game.

Beaty de-committed from Clemson following a coaching change and played on the EYBL circuit this summer. She tallied over 16 points, five assists and three rebounds per game on the circuit, leading to over 50 Division 1 offers.

The Cyclones are coming off a 2nd round appearance in the NCAA Tournament under head coach Bill Fennelly. They ranked third in the nation in average attendance and are expected to be a preseason top-15 team ahead of the 2024-25 season.

Beaty will return to York for her senior season when the Dragonettes will look to win the second state championship in program history.
