The Livingston Academy Lady Wildcats soccer team made the trip south down Highway 111 Tuesday evening for a non-district showdown with the Cookeville Cavaliers, where neither team left victorious as the game ended in a 1-1 tie.
Livingston Academy took a first-half lead as a Cookeville handball in the box resulted in a successful penalty kick by Ella Copeland to give the Lady Wildcats a 1-0 lead with 32:57 remaining in the first half.
Cookeville responded midway through the second half as a Carmen Sandoval pass ahead to Rowan Abril resulted in a Lady Cavalier goal to tie the game at 1-1 with 17:06 remaining. Neither team found the back of the net for the rest of the contest, resulting in a 1-1 final score.
Up next for Cookeville is a home match against Lebanon on Thursday while Livingston Academy travels to Gatlinburg for a weekend tournament.
