The third edition of the UC Top 5 features a change at the #5 spot and two top-5 matchups on Friday night.
1. Upperman (2-0)
The #1-ranked Upperman Bees dispatched Class 6A Lebanon in week 2 by a 41-14 margin. The Bees welcome Region 4-4A foe Macon County to Baxter Friday evening for their biggest test of the season with playoff implications on the line.
2. Cookeville (2-0)
The Cookeville Cavaliers are back at home this week as they welcome their foes to the south, White County. Cookeville took care of business in week 2 by defeating PURE Academy 48-16.
3. Macon County (2-0)
Following a 42-0 victory at Trousdale County on Friday, Macon County hits the road again for their biggest early-season test of 2024 as they travel to Upperman for their Region 4-4A opener.
4. White County (2-0)
White County took care of business in week 2 as they defeated Warren County, 41-0. The Warriors hit the road north this week for one of the Upper Cumberland’s fiercest rivalry games at Cookeville.
5. DeKalb County (2-0)
The 2-0 Tigers enter the UC Top 5 this week following a 35-6 victory at Smith County in week 2. DeKalb County stays on the road in week 3 as they travel to Livingston Academy to open Region 4-4A play.
