Week 11 2024 Picks
Noah 83-12 (8-2)
Justin 80-15 (8-2)
Goose 80-15 (9-1)
Jacob 77-18 (6-4)
Thursday: Upperman at DeKalb County
Noah: Upperman 42-14
The Bees want to be 10-0 and will not be pleased with their performance a week ago. On the other hand, DeKalb County has nothing to hold back in this game so we could see a very interesting football game. Ultimately I think Upperman gets back to their convincing winning ways on Halloween.
Justin: Upperman 28-10
Upperman is looking to close another regular season undefeated against an old rival in DeKalb County, and I think the Bees get it done. DeKalb County can empty the bag tonight and I think they can move the ball at times, but actually getting into the end zone against Upperman is easier said than done.
Goose: Upperman 35-14
The Bees hit the road to Smithville on Thursday for their regular season finale looking to go 10-0 in the regular season. Upperman had a wake-up call in last week’s win at Stone Memorial, and I think a focused Bees team takes care of business tonight.
Jacob: Upperman 34-7
Nothing on the line in this game other than trying to finish the regular season out on a high note for both of these teams. It’s always fun when these two get together, but the Bees are looking to prove something after their performance last week. I expect the Bees to take care of business and build momentum going into the playoffs.
Thursday: Livingston at White County
Noah: White County 28-7
With or without Tripp Pinion the Warriors should be able to lean on their physical identity to move the football. Livingston will need to stay creative offensively to score against a good Sparta defense.
Justin: White County 35-7
White County has the #2 seed locked up and needs to stay healthy this week against a hungry Livingston team. I think Sparta hits on all cylinders tonight and walks away with a big win.
Goose: White County 34-6
Sparta looks to wrap up a successful regular season tonight at home against Livingston. Even if Warrior quarterback Tripp Pinion is still sidelined, I trust Coach Beaty’s squad to end the regular season on a high note.
Jacob: White County 28-14
This game was close last season due to a few key injuries and it could be the same way this year. Sparta has a chance to rest some key pieces before the playoffs and the Wildcats are looking to get to .500 on the season heading into the offseason.
Thursday: Wilson Central at Cookeville
Noah: Cookeville 42-14
The Cavs are the better team needing a bounce-back performance leading into the playoffs. I expect them to roll here.
Justin: Cookeville 42-0
Cookeville should build some confidence to finish out the regular season and gear up for the playoffs. Shouldn’t be close.
Goose: Cookeville 35-0
Focus is the biggest challenge for Cookeville this week as the Cavaliers should have a clear talent advantage. As long as Cookeville comes out ready to play, they should cruise into the postseason on a high note.
Jacob: Cookeville 41-7
The Cavaliers need a dominant victory to build their confidence heading into the playoffs. Look for them to establish the run game tonight and take a few shots deep throughout the game.
Thursday: York Institute at Polk County
Noah: York 35-0
The Dragons have allowed 7 points in region play all season. They’re the best team in the region and they’ll prove it on Thursday in convincing fashion.
Justin: York 41-7
York is as hot as they get this time of the year and the Dragons should be too much for Polk County to handle.
Goose: York 34-0
York’s lockdown defense should travel well to Polk County tonight as they play for a Region 2-2A championship. I don’t know which Dragon will have the huge offensive day, but any of their starting skill position guys can go for 150+ yards and 3 scores, and that’s a nightmare to prepare for. Give me York big.
Jacob: York 28-0
Dragons are going to win their third straight region title and after the start to the season they had, that’s one heck of a feat. York has been dominant defensively against region opponents and that’ll power them to the W tonight.
Friday (GOTW): Gordonsville at Clay County
Noah: Clay County 35-34
This matchup has come down to the wire several times recently, and I don’t expect that to change Friday night. Ultimately, I think Nate Adams makes one more play to deliver a region championship to Clay County in what should be a fantastic football game.
Justin: Gordonsville 35-28
These two teams only know how to play instant classics, and Friday shouldn’t be any different. I’ll take Gordonsville in the upset in their final regular-season game in Class 1A.
Goose: Clay County 34-14
We’ve waited all season for this game, and it’s lived up to the hype every time I’ve covered it. Clay County hosts the annual Region 4-1A championship this time around, and I think Coach Lamb and the boys put on a show in the second half and pull away for a region title.
Jacob: Clay County 27-26
This game has been incredible the last five seasons or so and I don’t see that changing this time around. Clay played some really good football heading into the final week of the regular season and their defense continues to be strong. The Tigers are great test, but I think the Bulldogs use the home field to their advantage and get the Region title back in Celina.
Friday: Macon County at Stone Memorial
Noah: Macon County 28-21
Despite their two-game losing streak, the Panthers are playing good football. The Tigers have been rolling on all cylinders since the middle of the third quarter against DeKalb County. With the three-seed on the line I think both teams will play well, but I’ll have a slight lean towards the Tigers on the road.
Justin: Macon County 35-26
If Macon County is firing on all cylinders, they’re one of the toughest teams in Class 4A. Coach Samber should have some answers for them, but ultimately I’ll take the Tigers on the road.
Goose: Stone Memorial 27-21
I’ve not had a lean in this game all week, but ultimately I have to take somebody to win, right? Both teams are playing good football right now and this margin feels razor-thin, but I’m going with the home team in a game that’s sure to come down to the final possession.
Jacob: Macon County 27-24
This game last year was the game of the year in my eyes. Stone has looked really good in their last two games albeit in losses. Macon County has looked like a juggernaut ever since the first half against DeKalb County. Expect this one to be back and forth all night long.
Thursday: East Robertson at Jackson County
Noah: East Robertson 35-7
Justin: East Robertson 34-7
Goose: East Robertson 27-14
Jacob: East Robertson 31-7
Friday: Cumberland County at Sequoyah
Noah: Cumberland County 21-14
Justin: Cumberland County 21-0
Goose: Cumberland County 41-6
Jacob: Cumberland County 28-7
Friday: Jo Byrns at Red Boiling Springs
Noah: Jo Byrns 28-7
Justin: Jo Byrns 34-13
Goose: Jo Byrns 21-14
Jacob: Jo Byrns 21-6
Friday: Grundy County at Pickett County
Noah: Grundy County 35-0
Justin: Grundy County 41-8
Goose: Grundy County 27-16
Jacob: Grundy County 31-7
