Postseason girls soccer in Tennessee is underway this week as the Stone Memorial Lady Panthers defeated Upperman in the opening round of the District 7-2A tournament, 9-0.
Senior Shelby Vitous led the Lady Panthers with a hat trick as she scored three goals, followed by Adyson Farmer with 2 and four Lady Panthers scoring one goal each: Melodie Borngrebe, Ayla Greenwood, Casey Hepburn and Aubrey Murray.
The #2-seeded Lady Panthers advance in in the District 7-2A tournament to face DeKalb County in the semifinal round on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Livingston Academy. Top-seeded Livingston will host Cumberland County in the first match of the evening at 5 p.m.
