Bella Winningham poured in 26 points along with 21 by Gracie Clark to lead White County in their opener. Ashlyn Selby recorded a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds in the win.
“Offensively, we shot it well from three,” said White County head coach Michael Dodgen. “We got complacent defensively, but I didn’t like the way we finished.
White County scored 34 points in the game’s opening quarter to take a 34-16 16 lead and held a 55-37 advantage at halftime.
The Warriorettes continued their hot scoring night in the second half as they scored 21 points in the third quarter and 17 in the fourth to win by a 93-75 final score.
Momo Moore led Chattanooga Christian with 35 points.
“We did a good job on Moore in the first half, but didn’t in the second,” said Dodgen. “We’re going to play good people like that all year, especially in our league, so we have to get better defensively.”
