The Cookeville Lady Cavaliers picked up their second victory in the Aflac Christmas Tournament on Saturday as they defeated DeKalb County, 72-21.
Saturday’s victory looked different than most Lady Cavalier wins as a uniform miscommunication resulted in both the Lady Cavaliers and Lady Tigers bringing their home white uniforms. Cookeville switched to host-school Watertown’s for the contest and cruised to a 51-point win.
Cookeville was led by 23 points from Allie Gillies and 14 by Cara Lee Gilbert.
The Lady Cavaliers are scheduled to face host-school Watertown in Monday’s championship game at 6 p.m.
