The Stone Memorial soccer team opened their week in the win column as they defeated Upperman 6-0 Tuesday evening in Crossville.
Senior Oliver Fuentes led the Panthers with two first-half goals and an assist while keeper Dylan Philips pitched a shutout with 6 saves.
Senior Bryson Whitmill opened the contest with a goal at the 33:24 mark of the first half to give Stone Memorial a 1-0 lead. Fuentes followed with two goals in a 4-minute stretch to give the Panthers a 3-0 at halftime.
Stone Memorial doubled their goal count in the second half as Johnathan Warlick, Kayne Bosanko and Alex Lopez each found the back of the net to secure the 6-0 victory.
The Panthers improve to 10-2 overall and 3-1 in District 7-2A play. Stone Memorial is scheduled to play at White County on Thursday while Upperman is set to play at Upperman next Thursday.
