The Macon County Tigerette soccer team opened their week with a 10-1 victory in Crossville Tuesday evening against Stone Memorial.
Senior Bree Wheet led the way with four goals in the victory along with three from Jessica Romero, Grace Sircy With two and one goal from Vanessa Kirby.
Stone Memorial opened the contest with a goal by Melodie Borngrebe via an assist from Jayne Warlick to give the Lady Panthers a 1-0 lead with 29:59 remaining in the first half.
Macon County responded 14 seconds later as Wheet scored her first goal of the contest to tie it up at 1-1.
The Tigerettes found the back of the net two more times in the first half via goals by Romero and Kirby to hold a 3-1 halftime advantage.
Macon controlled the second half as they scored 7 goals in less than 30 minutes to earn a 10-1 mercy-rule victory.
Up next for the Tigerettes is a home game against Springfield on Thursday while Stone Memorial hosts Cumberland County.
