The UCR Top 5 has a new member entering week 3 of the high school football season as Livingston Academy climbed to #5 following their 2-0 start.

1. Upperman (1-1)

The Upperman Bees fell at TSWA Class 4A #3-ranked Greeneville last week, 41-33, but retain their top spot in the UCR top 5. Upperman is back in action on Thursday this week as they host Farragut (0-2).

2. Macon County (2-0)

A strong second half led Macon County to a 35-15 win at Westmoreland in week 2, and the Tigers look to remain undefeated this week as they host Greenbriar on Friday.

3. Stone Memorial (2-0)

Stone Memorial trailed at Coalfield 35-6 in the second quarter on Friday before storming back to defeat the Yellow Jackets in overtime, 48-41. Stone Memorial travels across town to Cumberland County High School on Thursday.

4. Gordonsville (2-0)

Gordonsville defeated Watertown 17-6 last Friday and hits the road to Fayetteville this week for a non-region showdown.

5. Livingston Academy (2-0)

Livingston Academy enters the UCR Top 5 for the first time this week following their 38-3 victory over Warren County on Friday. The Wildcats hit the road to Carthage this week to face Smith County (1-1) in the Black Hole.
