Week 8 of the high school football regular season is in the books with multiple Upper Cumberland athletes putting on high-level performances:
Noah Potter (Stone Memorial QB)
Potter went 17-28 for 342 yards and 5 touchdowns through the air while rushing for 30 yards and a touchdown in Stone Memorial’s 42-8 win over Livingston Academy.
Cole Sims (White County RB/DB)
Sims had 18 carries for 194 yards and 2 touchdowns in White County’s 31-7 win over DeKalb County.
Hunter Haney (Stone Memorial WR)
Haney had 5 catches for 173 yards and 2 touchdowns in Stone Memorial’s 42-8 win over Livingston Academy.
Bronzden Chaffin (Upperman QB)
Chaffin went 8-10 for 224 yards and 2 touchdowns through the air while rushing for a touchdown in Upperman’s 49-14 win at York Institute.
Carmine Phillips (Upperman RB/DB)
Phillips rushed 8 times for 59 yards and 2 touchdowns, caught a touchdown pass and took an interception 95-yards for a pick-6 in Upperman’s 49-14 win at York Institute.
Carson McCoy (Stone Memorial TE/DB)
McCoy had 5 catches for 77 yards and 2 touchdowns in Stone Memorial’s 42-8 win over Livingston Academy.
Turner Bucher (Gordonsville RB/LB)
Bucher had 166 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns on 13 carries in Gordonsville’s 39-13 victory over Trousdale County.
Maddux Randolph (Gordonsville WR, DB)
Randolph returned a kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown and blocked a kick in Gordonsville’s 39-13 victory over Trousdale County.
