  2. Goose: 57-12 (10-1)
  3. Jacob: 56-13 (11-0)

  5. Guests: 55-14 (9-2)

UCR GOTW Presented by Mayberry’s Furniture: Macon County (5-1) at Stone Memorial (3-3) (Thursday)

Noah: Macon County 28-21

Complete tossup game for me, these two always seem to have great games and I don’t expect this one to be any different. I like how Macon County’s secondary has looked this year, and that works in their favor in trying to limit a great passing attack for the Panthers. Ultimately I think the Tigers have executed better to this point so I’ll lean their way.

Jacob: Stone Memorial 28-24

This game should be all kinds of fun. These games always seem to be close and have something weird happen. I think this year will be much of the same for two teams who need a win in region play. I’ll take the home team in this one.

Goose: Macon County 27-25

One of the funnest matchups of the season sees Macon County make the nearly two-hour drive to Crossville. This one has huge playoff implications as the winner still has a chance at a home playoff game, while the loser will likely be battling for the 4 seed. Football starts in the trenches, and I like what I’ve seen from Macon County a little more. Special teams could be another X-factor tonight.

UCR Babies: Stone Memorial 34-24

“Blah blah blah blah” -Maverick and Everett

Justin: Macon County 35-34

UCR: Livingston Academy (4-2) at Upperman (4-2)

Noah: Upperman 35-7

The Bees have yet to be challenged by a UC team and I don’t expect that to change. Livingston will be ready to play, but Upperman’s rushing attack will shine through.

Jacob: Upperman 35-7

Both teams got a big bounce back win last week but the Bees are in a different spot than the Wildcats at this point. Look for Upperman to handle business up front and turn it into an “Upperman game” as Noah likes to say.

Goose: Upperman 28-7

Upperman looked like themselves last week and I see that trend continuing. The Bees are dominant up front compared to Upper Cumberland teams, and unless Livingston can slow them down up there, this game should be a home victory.

UCR Babies: Upperman 42-21

Justin: Upperman 34-13

UCR2: Cookeville (2-4) at Maryville (5-1)

Noah: Maryville 42-7

Two teams in different spots.

Jacob: Maryville 35-0

Cookeville is not a bad football team, but Maryville is elite. Will be a tough task for the Cavaliers on the road.

Goose: Marville 42-7

Maryville is one of the best football teams in Tennessee period, and it’s a tall task for anybody not named Alcoa to win at Shields Stadium.

Justin: Maryville 45-7
