Week Ten (October 22-23)
The week ten guest picker was so good earlier in the year that we had to bring him back: White County Warriorette head coach Michael Dodgen. Coach Dodgen can also be heard across the UCR Media Network as our sideline reporter on the game of the week and for Tennessee Tech Football on 98.5 FM.

UCR GOTW Presented by Mayberry’s Furniture: Upperman (6-2) at White County (8-0)
Noah: Upperman 28-21
The Warriors are in the middle of a historic season, but have struggled mightily against Upperman in recent years. I need to see it before I can believe that White County can take down the Bees. 1,499 days since Upperman has lost a region game.
Jacob: Upperman 21-14
The Bees have had the Warriors number the last couple of seasons and in dominant fashion. I’m not sure it goes that way this season with as well as White County has played this year, but I like the Bees in a close and physical match up on the road.
Goose: White County 27-21
The game of the season kicks off Friday in Sparta as the Warriors host Upperman for essentially the Region 4-4A championship. This series has been dominated by Upperman, but the teams of old aren’t taking the field on Friday. I’m taking White County in an absolute classic.
Dodgen: White County 27-20
Upperman is 44-1 in region games and have been playing better the last couple of weeks. Qb play for Upperman is getting better each week and Colton is Colton on every play. But the Warriors have played well at Warrior Stadium this year Cole Sims and Lex Winfree in backfield have been good in late game situations Tucker Pinion will play a big role Friday night and look for Bryson Hogg to be a X factor Friday night.
Justin: White County 31-28
UCR Midstate GOTW: Livingston Academy (5-3) at Macon County (7-1)
Noah: Macon County 28-20
The Wildcats were very impressive in their win over Stone and have really found something offensively, but the Tigers also have found something with Isaiah Escandon at running back. That new explosiveness gives them enough to keep pace at the top of Region 4-4A.
Jacob: Macon County 35-21
I’ve been really impressed with how the Tigers have played these few weeks before and after the bye. A gritty win against Stone, got healthy and then dominated Barren County. LA has also played some great football with a huge win against Stone before their bye. Who can get off to the better start in this game I think decides this one. Give me the Tigers at home.
Goose: Macon County 24-20
This game has a ton of juice for both sides as Macon County can mathematically still win the region (with some help), while Livingston is fighting for the #3 seed. This one came down to the wire last year and should be another thriller this Friday. I’ll take Macon County’s new three-headed rushing monster to get the job done at Pat Parker Memorial Field.
Dodgen: Macon County 34-13
Livingston is playing good football right now but Macon County has found a very good running back the last couple of weeks
Justin: Macon County 35-24
UCR2: Mt. Juliet (5-3) at Cookeville (3-5)
Noah: Mt. Juliet 21-14
Region 4-6A has been close game after close game and I think this one is more of the same. The Cavs have yet to get over the hump in that sort of game, while Mt. Juliet has.
Jacob: Cookeville 28-21
The Cavaliers looked great last week against Farragut and are in a very similar spot this year as they were last year now. They need to win out. Mt. Juliet is much improved from a season ago and I think the Cavaliers may be as well. I think Cookeville found some rhythm last week on offense and that spills into this week. Cavs get a big win.
Goose: Mt. Juliet 27-21
Another Region 4-6A game should come down to the wire on Friday between Cookeville and Mt. Juliet. I think the visiting Golden Bears will be a score better.
Dodgen: Mt. Juliet 28-17
Mt Juliet with a lot of weapons in this one. Cookeville played well last week at Farragut but will take a loss this week.
Justin: Mt. Juliet 24-21
