The Cookeville Cavaliers were victorious in their match against Stone Memorial and Livingston Academy on Thursday, as they shot a combined score of 292 to win by 54 strokes over second-place SMHS.
Brant Kardatzke shot a low-round of 67 to lead the way, while Parks Fowler and Ethan Poston shot a 72 and 73, respectively. Ty Harrison rounded out the boys score with an 80, as Cookeville won their second straight match to start the season.
Braedon Houston led the Panthers with an 84 on the day, while Tayshawn Hayes paced Livingston with an 89.
On the girls side of the competition, Cookeville’s Sarah Tinsley (102) and Kierston Ealey (104) combined for a score of 206.
Stone Memorial’s Sarah Bass was the other lone girls competitor on Thursday, as she fired in an 81 for her round.
