Smith County High School baseball standout Riley Martin will trade in the black and gold for Crimson following the spring 2027 high school baseball season as the junior righty announced his commitment to the University of Alabama on Thursday per his Facebook and Instagram.
Martin, a junior pitcher and infielder for the Owls, hit .369 with 22 hits and 13 RBIs his sophomore season in Carthage. Per Prep Baseball Report, Martin is the #9 recruit in Tennessee and a top 400 recruit nationally (#370) with a fastball topping out at 92.3 MPH this summer.
