Five Upper Cumberland football programs won their respective TSSAA playoff first-round matchups this week as Clay County, Gordonsville, White County, Stone Memorial and Upperman will compete in the second round next week. Second-round matchups by classification are as follows:

Saturday’s Cosby/Midway winner at Clay County (10-1)

Class 2A

Saturday’s West Greene/Oneida Winner at Gordonsville (11-0)

Class 4A

White County (8-3) at Greeneville (10-1)

Stone Memorial (10-1) at Anderson County (8-2)

Alcoa (10-1) at Upperman (9-2)
