The Van Buren County Eaglettes (27-4) won their third region title in four seasons on Wednesday as they defeated Copper Basin, 74-68. Eaglette center Cara Mills posted 33 points and 19 rebounds in the title game and earned region tournament MVP honors.
Emma Gammon, Laura Gammon and Ellie Grissom were named all-region tournament.
Van Buren County will host Jackson County on Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Class 1A sectional round with a state tournament berth on the line.
