The Stone Memorial Lady Panthers didn’t have to leave Crossville for a pair of District 7-3A road wins on Tuesday as they swept a doubleheader at Cumberland County by 12-2 and 17-0 margins.
Lady Panther sophomore Kenzie Jackson earned both wins in the circle. She struck out 8 batters while surrendering 3 hits in 4 innings in game one followed by a three-inning no-hitter in game two with 6 more strikeouts and 1 walk.
Jackson went a combined 4-5 with 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and 4 runs scored at the plate. UT-Martin signee Cadence Cox went 4-4 with 2 home runs, a double, 3 RBIs and a run scored in the two wins. Khloe Kindrick also went yard with a three-run homer in the first inning of game two.
Stone Memorial is back in action this Friday against Monterey while Cumberland County travels to Coalfield on Thursday.
