Gordonsville’s Colton Bennett Finishes Class 1A Mr. Baseball Runner-Up

Gordonsville senior pitcher Colton Bennett was honored as a finalist for the Class 1A Mookie Betts Mr. Baseball award at a ceremony hosted by the Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association on Tuesday.

Greenfield’s Easton Sullivan won the award in Class 1A while Coalfield’s Jackson Treece was also a finalist.

Bennett and the Gordonsville Tigers will compete in the Class 1A state baseball tournament beginning at 4 p.m. on Tuesday against Eagleville at Wilson Central High School.
