The American Heart Association has designated February as American Heart Month.
The elementary schools in Putnam County take turns each year hosting the big Jump Rope for Heart event that takes place at Tennessee Tech/’s Memorial Gym. The event will take place on Feb. 23rd from 9-11. It is a celebration of the students who were selfless enough to help raise some money for the American Heart Association. We usually gather the top fund raisers from each school and we dance and jump rope and have a good time. This year, Burks Elementary School is the host and would like for everyone to help the students that participate by donating to this wonderful cause. You may donate at any one of the schools.
