Introduction of TN Power – AAU Basketball

TN POWER is an AAU Basketball program based out of Sparta, TN.

We started with myself, Jon Powers, and 7 players 5 years ago. Since that time we have expanded to over 100 athletes and have became the premier program in the Upper Cumberland Area.

Our main focus is on the development of each of our players both individually and in a team environment. Our current 2015 season has seen our 11th grade team finish number 1 in the state of TN and our 4th grade team finishing runner up in the state tourney and ranked in the top 10 in the Nation.

We currently have players from Sparta, McMinnville, Celina, Baxter, Cookeville, Livingston, Crossville, Smithville, Spencer, Monterey, and Cannon County. Our coaching staff have all coached at a school level, played college basketball and have been certified by the NCAA to coach.

Our program as a whole finished with an unbelievable 154-54 win/loss record. More importantly we had over 100 Upper Cumberland players getting great training and game time experience that will help carry on the strong basketball tradition that comes from this area.
It is a very humbling feeling starting a program with 7 kids  and within a few years you are hoisting an AAU state Championship trophy and a top 10 in the Nation Trophy! It is a great feeling knowing that what we are doing as a program is paying off. We will continue to grow and put everything we have into the development of these athletes. Jon Powers
