HRA Upper School Holds Annual Retreat

The Upper School students of Highland Rim Academy held their annual retreat at Ebenezer Acres on August 13 and 14.  Traditionally, this has been an opportunity for students to spend time together, induct the new seventh grade class into the school’s house system, and prepare for the academic challenges in the coming school year.

The house system, modeled after the old English university system, is designed to build leadership, character and relationships.  Students are placed into one of four houses: Aquinas, Clement, Knox, or Zwingli.  Houses participate in competitions and challenges throughout the year to accumulate points.  The house earning the most points at the end of the year is awarded with the House Cup.

Highland Rim Academy, a 501(c)3 non-profit, is a fully accredited K – 12 classical Christian school.  Established in 2007, the school currently serves families from six Upper Cumberland counties.  For more information about HRA, contact the school office at 931-526-4472 or visit the website at highlandrimacademy.org.
