Cookeville Middle School Boys and Girls Teams Win Mid-state Region Meet
Landri Wilcox was the winner for the girls region meet with a time of 12:11.20 followed by Evan Welch (White County, 4th, 13:37.20), Abigail Welch (White County, 9th, 14:18.00), Maddie Long (CKV, 10th, 14:25.40), Emily Coonce (CKV, 11th, 14:26.60), Annie Kate McDermott (CKV, 12th, 14:27.60), and Abby Fondren (CKV, 27th, 15:03.20).
The boys were led by Jacob Sparks placing 4th with a time of 12:46.10. Other scorers for Cookeville included Keith Wiley (14th, 13:32.00), Ethan Delk (15th, 13:33.90), Kaden Williams (13:45.80), and Drew Thacker (32nd, 13:54.10).
The Cookeville Middle School Teams will participate in the Tennessee State Middle School Cross Country Championships in Knoxville on October 22nd. Also qualifying for the state meet as individual runners are Evan and Abigail Welch from White County and Mahala Boone from Livingston Middle School.
