Nov. 27

HOLIDAY CONCERT: The Cookeville Community Band will have a free holiday concert Nov. 27 at 3 p.m. at the Cookeville Performing Arts Center, 10 E. Broad St., Cookeville.

 

Dec. 3

DEPOT CHRISTMAS: The Cookeville Depot Museum’s annual Christmas Open House will be Dec. 3 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. with Santa and his elves, live reindeer, refreshments, a model train and caroling. Santa will take a cookie break from noon-1 p.m. The depot is located at 116 W. Broad St., Cookeville. Call 931-528-8570 for more information.

 

Dec. 4

TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY: The City of Cookeville’s Christmas in the Park festivities begin with a tree lighting ceremony Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. at Dogwood Park, 30 E. Broad St. Santa will help flip the switch to light a 35-foot community Christmas tree that is being placed over the fountain. A Christmas celebration service will follow.

 

Dec. 10, 11, 17-19

SANTA AT DOGWOOD PARK: Bring a camera to Dogwood Park, 30 E. Broad St., Cookeville, Dec. 10, 11, and 17-19 for an opportunity to take a photo with Santa and his elves free from 1-4 p.m. on the weekends and 4-7 p.m. on Dec. 19.

 

Dec. 10-31

CHRISTMAS FOREST: The Cookeville History Museum’s holiday exhibit, “Christmas Forest,” opens Dec. 10 with a reception from 1-3 p.m. at 40 E. Broad St. Santa will be visiting with the kids. The exhibit continues through Dec. 31. The museum is open Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission is free. Call 931-528-5455 for more information.

 

Dec. 26-30

DOWNTOWN ICE: Enjoy ice skating in a synthetic ice rink, sliding down a Snowzilla Ski Slope and roller sledding down a Toboggan Tunnel Dec. 26-30 from noon-8 p.m. across the street from Dogwood Park, located at 30 E. Broad St., as part of the City of Cookeville’s Christmas in the Park celebration. $5 for ice skating; $5 for five slides.
