CRMC Welcomes New Urologist

New Urologist Joins Cookeville RegionalCookeville, Tenn. –

Urologist Kelly McAlvany, D.O. has joined the staff at CookevilleRegional Medical Center. She will be working with fellow urologists Dr. Lee Moore and Dr. Quinton Cancel at Upper Cumberland Urology Associates located at 320 North OakAvenue.

Dr. McAlvany received her medical degree from Midwestern University Chicago Collegeof Osteopathic Medicine. She performed an internship in general surgery and a residencyin urology at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education. She has recently completed a fellowship in genitourinary trauma and reconstruction (GURS) at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, Texas. She has also served as an instructor inurology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. During her education, she was amember of the Sigma Sigma Phi Osteopathic Medicine Honors Fraternity and theAcademics Honor Society.

Dr. McAlvany has a special interest in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgerywith a focus on improving and restoring sexual function through prolapse repair; slingand sphincter procedures for incontinence; Peyronie’s disease; erectile dysfunction; andurethral stricture disease.

Dr. McAlvany is pleased to be in the Upper Cumberland and looks forward to serving themedical needs of our community.
