Volunteer State Community Gearing Up for Spring Semester

Volunteer State Community College at Livingston registration for spring classes is now open
Volunteer State Community College at Livingston is gearing up for spring semester.  Registration for spring classes is open. Students can register online starting now all the way into the first week of spring classes. Spring classes start on January 17.
It’s easy to get started. Vol State Livingston staff and faculty are on hand to advise and assist students with the admission process, program planning, and financial aid.  New and readmit students need to apply to the college first. That can be done at www.volstate.edu/apply<http://www.volstate.edu/apply>.
“We know there are potential students who have wanted to attend college, but for various reasons never got started, said Michael Powell, director of Vol State at Livingston.  “We want to help all students make their dreams a reality. Whatever the need may be, we are here to help.”
Powell added, “We want to make college attainable for everyone. We offer free assessments to determine if students are college ready.  If they have areas that need improvement, such as in reading, writing or math, our free College Readiness program helps students build their confidence and skills needed to be successful.  This program allows students to work at their own pace and to come and go as they wish.”
Vol State at Livingston is a degree-granting center offering more than twenty associate of science (AS) degree programs that can be completed on the Livingston Campus.  Classes that will apply to many different majors and programs, including general education classes in communications, humanities and the arts, mathematics, natural sciences, social and behavioral sciences, and general electives are offered.
On ground classes, online courses, and hybrid classes are available.  Day and evening classes accommodate different schedules.
Volunteer State Community College at Livingston has provided educational services in Clay, Jackson, Overton, Pickett, and Putnam counties and throughout the Upper Cumberland for 25 years.
