Gymnasium holding free New Year’s Eve open house
An opportunity to say goodbye to 2016 – and learn more about the Cane Creek Gymnasium – is coming up Saturday during a free New Year’s Eve open house.
“We want people to come to the gym and find out about all the programs, sports and fun we have to offer,” Reagan Austin, Cookeville Leisure Services athletic coordinator, said of the first-time event. “We especially welcome anybody who hasn’t had the chance to visit the gym before to come out and play.”
The day’s schedule is as follows:
- Cornhole, 8-11 a.m.
- Basketball, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Pickleball, 8 a.m.-noon
- Dodgeball, noon-2 p.m.
- Soccer, 2-5 p.m.
In addition to this free sampling of gymnasium activities, attendees can learn more about the 2017 programming schedule.
Concessions will be available, and door prizes will be given away.
The gym, located inside the Cane Creek Recreation Center at 180 C C Camp Road in Cookeville, is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sunday from 1-6 p.m. Regular admission is $1.
