GRAND OPENING CELEBRATED THURSDAY AT FITZGERALD INDUSTRIAL PARK IN WHITE COUNTY
WHITE COUNTY, TN – Local business leaders, state and local dignitaries, and team members of Fitzgerald’s operations gathered Thursday to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Fitzgerald Industrial Park, home of Fitzgerald Truck Parts and Sales, Fitzgerald Collision & Repair’s second location in the Upper Cumberland, and a quick turn building currently under construction.
The property was previously acquired and publicly held as the Upper Cumberland Industrial Park, using state and federal grant dollars and local investment to develop the site. In 2015, the Fitzgeralds purchased the park and adjacent acreage. Future plans include additional quick turn buildings and collaborations with educational and workforce partners.
Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe and Fitzgerald Collision & Repair officials recently announced that the company will undergo a major expansion in the Highlands footprint and create 220 new jobs in the region. They have also announced a new partnership with TCAT Livingston, launching a diesel certification program in the fall.
Denny Wayne Robinson, White County Executive, is thrilled about Fitzgerald’s expansion and the opening of the Fitzgerald Industrial Park.
“I’d like to thank the Fitzgeralds for their partnership,” White County Executive Denny Wayne Robinson said. “This project in particular is exciting because of the investment made by the community years ago. It has been fulfilling to see the development materialize so quickly, and to see White County’s investment pay off.”
Tommy Fitzgerald, Sr., founder and CEO of Fitzgerald Truck Sales, stated, “We are passionate about creating high-quality jobs in rural communities. We will do everything we can to put people to work.”
