Jackson County Tenn- Flooding Projections from the National Weather Service and Corps of Engineers being relayed to Jackson County EMA have been lessened throughout the day today.
The latest projections we are receiving is that the Cumberland River will crest in our county at around 26 feet sometime within the next 24-48 hours. That’s going to put it about 4 feet shy of the flood level which is 30 feet.
We do want to continue to remind people that this is a fluid situation and could change at any time. It’s very important for the public to continue to remain very aware of the water levels around them. Anyone with any questions of concerns can contact Jackson County EMA at (931) 268-6133.
