Forward to a Friend

Welcome to the weekend once again! Lovely weather on the horizon for the next several days. Get out and enjoy! Obey River Day Use Area is now open for swimming, etc. Flag Day is Sunday June 14th. Next weekend is Father’s Day so get ready by shopping local for Dad’s gift and/or dinner. Lots of nice items to be found in Pickett County. #ShopLocal #PickPickettFirst

Great news! Check in the morning before you come, but we think Steve Reagan will be here with fresh vegetables at the Farmers Market. From 10-12, Sue Lado of K & S Farms plans to be here with her local lavender products. It’s possible we will have some folks here with baked goods as well. We also have a yard sale at the market too. Call (931) 864-7195 after 8AM to find out for sure who is down there and what they have.

If you haven’t filled out your Census 2020 information, please do soon! It’s important when it comes to funding for local schools and many other projects. It’s also helpful for those looking into genealogy in future generations. Go to www.2020census.gov to learn more.

The Farmhouse Restaurant is back open after a renovation project. Live music is back at the Dixie Cafe on Friday night and Saturday night! Bald Rock Package will have live music on Friday night. Please note, Backyard Grill has a new phone number: (931) 823-9677. Remember, there are several other wonderful places to grab a bite to eat in the area. You can find all of them here: www.dalehollow.com/dine

Tennessee State Parks are open. Cordell Hull Birthplace State Park is having several events/workshops this summer. Check their calendar for information on all of their upcoming events.

We hope to resume the Business of the Week program SOON, BUT WE NEED YOUR INPUT!!! If you are a Chamber Member and have not done so yet, please, please, please fill out our survey – you can access it hereIF YOU DO NOT SEND IN THE SURVEY, YOU WILL NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE GROUP THAT THE COMMITTEE WILL CHOOSE FROM. Also, if any business is following the Tennessee Pledge rules and would like a poster to put up, OR OTHER ITEMS, stop by our office and let us know.
