Happy Thanksgiving from Byrdstown/Pickett County Update 11/20/20

Happy Thanksgiving!

We wish you and yours a very happy Thanksgiving! Things will likely be different for everyone this year, but let us all truly count our blessings each day – not our problems. We will be closed next weekend from Thursday until the following Monday, so there will be no enewsletter next week. Therefore, I need to remind everyone of the Christmas festivities that start the following Friday. The Christmas Marketplace at the Library will be held on Friday afternoon (3-7) and again on Saturday (9-3). We will have the Tree Lighting and Caroling on Friday evening with roasted (you do it yourself) hotdogs and marshmallows PLUS a special visitor from points northward with a few surprises for the children. Wear your masks and do all the other things we are supposed to do these days and let’s have a good time. The parade (themed “A Star Spangled Christmas”) will be on Saturday at 1PM. If you wish to enter, get those in to Town Hall before the close of day on 11-30-2020. Line up will begin at 10:45AM on Saturday at PCHS. For more information, see Town Hall’s page.

Results for the Fall Dale Hollow Bass Classic are here. Congratulations to everyone! Next weekend (27 & 28) there will be a Craft Sale here at the Farmers Market. NEXT Saturday, Rustic Roots Boutique will have a Ribbon Cutting at 9:30AM followed by their Grand Re-Opening at their new location at 106 West Main St. Ya’ll come!

Coming up this weekend: There will be live music at the Dixie Cafe Friday evenings. Forbus General Store has Fish Fryday – Friday. The Backyard Grill and Bald Rock Package, LLC will have live music on Saturday evening this week. Be sure to check out the many other wonderful places to grab a bite to eat in the area. You can find our members here: www.dalehollow.com/dine.

UPDATE: We are still needing survey’s from our Chamber Member businesses interested in being the Business of the Month. However, it has come to our attention that several of you have sent them in, but we did NOT receive them. If you have not been contacted, please resend your form to pickettbyrdstownbom@gmail.com. The deadline is SOON! You can reach the updated survey here.

UPCOMING MEETINGS:
